Join us for a series of exciting Discovery Days packed with fun, creativity, and learning for the whole family!**   

Inspired by our interactive exhibition Magic Place & Story Garden, the Summer Reading Challenge 2025, each week offers a new sensory theme and hands-on activities that will inspire and engage children aged 4–11.   

All sessions are drop-in and run from 10:00 – 15:00. 

Week 1:  Touch -  Touchy Feely Book Pages & Cards 
Get hands-on with texture and creativity! Design your own touchy feely book pages or sensory cards using a mix of materials, such as fabric, foil, felt, and more. 

Week 2: Sight – Kaleidoscope Creations 
Dive into a world of colour and light! Make your own kaleidoscope and explore how mirrors and patterns create dazzling visual effects. A perfect activity for curious minds who love to see the world in new ways. 

Week 3: Smell  - Scented Painting & Flower Making
Waken your sense of smell with creative, with scented paintings that look as good as they smell. Then, craft your own flowers from colourful wool, inspired by the scents and shapes of the Courtyard.  

Week 4: Sound – Make your own instruments  
Get noisy with creativity! Design and build your own musical instruments using upcycled materials. Explore rhythm, pitch, and sound as you shake, strum, and tap your new musical creations.  

No prior booking is required. Bring your family and friends and enjoy a day of discovery and creativity.
