The communities of Hawkhurst and Sandhurst are invited to get involved in a new project to celebrate their local heritage and culture.
Do you live in Hawkhurst or Sandhurst, or have a connection to the area? Are you keen to preserve and protect your local heritage? We’d love to hear from you!
Share your views, stories, and ideas for local heritage projects using our quick online survey.
Your feedback will help inform and shape a range of community activities including discussion groups, heritage walks, hands-on activities for children, and artist-led workshops.
Linda Redden, our Rural Heritage Officer, has also begun speaking to members of the community at library drop-in sessions, local groups and individual meetings.
This project aims to:
· Empower communities to celebrate and share their unique local heritage
· Enhance wellbeing through outdoor engagement in natural surroundings
· Cultivate a deep sense of pride and belonging within our communities
· Bring together local groups, businesses and organisations to collaborate
If you have any questions about the project please contact Linda Redden, Rural Heritage Officer: linda.redden@tunbridgewells.gov.uk.
This project is funded by the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
