Life Through a Royal Lens - Amelia

An intimate exhibition exploring the Royal Family's relationship with the camera.

Life Through a Royal Lens explores one of the most photographed families in the world: the British Royal Family.

Spanning from the reign of Queen Victoria to the present day, the exhibition showcases the Royal Family's enduring relationship with the camera, featuring reproduced works by renowned photographers such as Cecil Beaton, Rankin, Annie Leibovitz, and Lord Snowdon.

Visitors will see iconic photographs alongside candid, behind-the-scenes moments offering a glimpse of the Royal Family off duty.

The exhibition is curated over five themes and sheds new light on the art of royal image making, from the formal portraits of the Victorian era, through the high glamour of Cecil Beaton's shots of Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother, to the relaxed informality of the digital age.

Exhibtion created by Historic Royal Palaces and toured by Nomad Exhibitions.
