At The Amelia Scott, we are dedicated to creating an inclusive and supportive environment for all our visitors.

Our Relaxed Opening is specially designed for those who prefer a more tranquil museum experience, including those with autism or other neurodiverse needs, along with their families and carers.

Discover, Play, and Learn: Enhanced Activities 

We're thrilled to offer a variety of activities to engage and delight visitors of all ages during our Relaxed Opening. Here's what you can look forward to:
•    Sensory Storytelling: Immerse yourself in a story that engages all the senses. Our storyteller uses a variety of props to bring tales to life. 
•    Activity Station: Enjoy a fun craft inspired by our Collection. 
•    Subbuteo Exhibition: Explore this exhibition in your very own quiet session. Did you know this iconic game was invented in Langton Green!
•    Sticker Album: Participate in this entertaining activity that spans all the galleries at The Amelia. Complete it on the day or at your own pace.

• Dedicated Session: This session is designed for those who prefer a more tranquil museum experience, including those with autism or other neurodiverse needs, along with their families and carers.
• Comfortable Visit: Experience a Discovery Day at The Amelia Scott in a quieter, less crowded setting, ensuring a more comfortable visit.
• Calm Start: The event begins at 10:00 am, providing a peaceful start to the day, ideal for families seeking a serene environment.
• Supportive Staff: Our staff will be on hand to create a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, ensuring everyone has a positive and enjoyable experience.
• Accessible Exhibits: We strive to present our exhibits in a way that is engaging and accessible for all learning styles.
