Join us at The Amelia Scott for a vibrant Green Week, packed with inspiring activities for all ages - from hands-on family fun to wildlife discovery. Green Week celebrates our local environment and the small actions that can make a big difference.
Whether you’re curious about local wildlife, looking for relaxed family activities, or interested in greener ways of living, there’s something for everyone to enjoy, with drop-in activities taking place throughout the week.
Moth Morning - Drop-in, all ages

Discover the fascinating world of moths and learn more about local biodiversity with this relaxed morning session. A great introduction to wildlife for curious minds of all ages.
Boxes and Butterflies at Sherwood Library
Sat 23rd May, 11:00-13:00
Discover and explore objects from The Amelia Scott’s Heritage collection; Tunbridge ware, insect boxes and butterfly displays. Plus crafts, games and colouring.
GreenThemed Rhyme Times – Free Early Years Activity
Tuesday 26th 10:00, Thursday 27 May 10:00 and 11:00
Our much-loved Rhyme Time sessions will take on a special green theme, celebrating nature and animals. Weather permitting, it will take place in our beautiful Courtyard.
Messy Tuesday – Forest Floor Theme
Tuesday 26th, 11:00 and 13:30
A hands-on play session where little ones can explore, create, and get wonderfully messy. Suitable for ages 2-4, £7 per child. Please book here.

Relaxed Discovery Day
Saturday 30 May (14:30 – 16:00)
A calm and welcoming Discover Day session designed for families with children who have sensory needs. Expect a gentler pace, quieter spaces and inclusive activities inspired by the natural world. Book here.
