Tunbridge Wells Borough Council along with Age UK Tunbridge Wells are delighted to invite you, and a plus one, to join us for a special Silver Sunday event on 6th October 2024, at The Amelia and Assembly Hall Theatre, Tunbridge Wells.
Silver Sunday, organised by Age UK, is a national day where people of all generations come together to host fun and free activities for older people. It is a wonderful opportunity to meet new people, visit new places, try new activities, and connect with the local community. Click here to find out more.
We have a variety of complimentary activities you are welcome you to take part in.
Morning Activities:
- Embrace Nostalgia (Drop in 10.30am – 12.30pm)

Explore our temporary exhibition on Subbuteo, where you can reminisce and even have a play with the table top game invented in Tunbridge Wells.
- Curator tour and Q&A (11.30am – 12.30pm)

Our expert curator will be available to show you round the Amelia Scott galleries and introduce you to all the free resources we have available (did you now as a library member you can have free access to ancestry.com and audio books?)
Afternoon Activities:
- Complimentary Lunch (1.00pm – 2.30pm)

- Royal Tunbridge Wells Symphony Orchestra (3.00pm start)

Enjoy a free ticket to a performance by the Royal Tunbridge Wells Symphony Orchestra of Glinka, Grieg and Elgar conducted by Roderick Dunk with solo pianist Freddy Kempf Link.
