As part of TW Lit Fest 2025!
Tunbridge Wells brings together two neurodivergent powerhouses of comedy – Robin Ince and Shappi Khorsandi, to discuss their books about brains: Normally Weird and Weirdly Normal and Scatter Brain.
Normally Weird and Weirdly Normal, a powerful, personal exploration of anxiety, ADHD and neurodiversity, reminds readers that it is ok to be different. Robin uses his own experiences to explore the neurodivergent experience, and to ask what the point of “being normal” really is.
Shappi's memoir, written through the lens of ADHD, takes readers on her ADHD journey. From discovering the joys of shoplifting through to finally understanding her attraction to toxic men, Scatter Brain will show you what it's really like to live a life out of control.
Shappi Khorsandi is a comedian who has appeared on countless TV & Radio shows. Her books include her memoir A Beginner's Guide To Acting English, Kissing Emma and Nina is not OK.
Robin Ince is a comedian, actor and writer, who has written books on neurodiversity and mental health, and is well-known for the Radio 4 programme The Infinite Monkey Cage, which he presents with Professor Brian Cox.
