Being Inbetween – My Voice project - Amelia

Inspired by the Carolyn Mendelsohn exhibition – 'Being Inbetween' This project will explore issue based journalism, encouraging the group to create short video documentaries on issues that are important to them while empowering the young people's voices and celebrating their perspective, building resilience, confidence and skills of the people shaping the world of tomorrow. If we empower young people to use their voice and build their confidence.

The result will be presented and celebrated in a screening event at the Amelia Scott. The work will then be subtitled, and played on loop, on an externally facing screens for all to see – giving the participants a public platform to have their voices heard.

We are looking for young people from the Tunbridge Wells area aged between 9-13 years old to take part in this fantastic opportunity.

Both projects will run from April to May 2024. There is a £20 participation fee for the project, £5 for GO card holders.
