Why, oh why, am I a Crocodile?, struggling with low self-esteem, strolls along wistfully, admiring beautiful creatures, she has one question: "Why, oh why, am I a crocodile?" Just as she's at her lowest, she encounters a super cool, blind monkey who introduces her to some newfound friends.

Will Monkey be able to change Crocodile's view on the world and will she learn to love herself?

Alex is the author of children's books: Why, oh why, am I a crocodile? and Insects, Bugs & Rock 'n' Roll. Why, oh why, am I a crocodile? was shortlisted for the SPARK! Book Awards in 2023. Alex worked as a firefighter in her twenties and during any downtime she found herself writing quirky stories. Her fun rhyming books, with vibrant illustrations, all carry an important message. As a mum of 3 (including twins) and previous childcare experience, Alex thrives off author events where she can interact with her young readers. Alex is currently working on her latest book: Why, oh why, was I born a fly? which will be out this year.
