After Dark at the Amelia and Louise Jameson presents Shakespeare's Mistress.
Coming to the Amelia Scott on Sunday 23 April in support of DAVSS…'Shakespeare's Mistress' is 'Doctor Who' and 'Emmerdale' star Louise Jameson's memoir of her life and experiences on stage and screen, all based around her personal love of Shakespeare.
Louise made her name as Tom Baker's assistant Leela in the much loved '70s era of 'Doctor Who' while also pursuing a sparkling stage career in the likes of the National Theatre. Louise later appeared in 'Eastenders' as Rosa Di Marco, and has now joined the main cast of 'Emmerdale'. From Shakespeare to TV Soaps, and the National to stand-up, a life in performance…
The show will feature stories from Louise's life as a performer along with beautiful readings from some of her personal favourite Shakespeare sonnets and in-depth discussions of 'The Bard's' most treasured plays.
This event is also in support of DAVSS, a local West Kent charity, supporting any victims (aged 16 and above) of domestic abuse.
This event is a perfect opportunity to come together as a community, celebrate art and theatre, whilst also supporting a hugely important local charity.
A VIP ticket is available which entitles you to a Meet & Greet with Louise after the show, with all the proceeds from this meet and greet going direct to support the work of DAVSS. It's set to be a special evening.
