About Tim Patrick:

Tim Patrick (b.1988) is an artist working and exhibiting in London.

Having studied traditional portrait painting in Florence, Italy, Tim has subsequently attended the University of Brighton where he received First Class Honours, and subsequently the Royal Drawing School in London.

Most recently Patrick has been awarded the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Grant for emerging figurative artists, with previous awardees including Chantal Joffe and Jenny Saville.  He is a frequent tutor at the Royal Drawing School, West Dean College and The Essential School of Painting.

Tim's paintings are here rooted in the observation of life - where the quotidian and everyday aspects of the interiors most intimate to us are explored and held as the focus of painting.

Working from life at a large scale, and looking to artists from Bellows to Manet, Patrick's paintings are rooted in the process of painting directly from life; being led by looking and allowing the painting to develop through a conversation with place.
