KS1 – Discovering a Victorian Past

 

Topic: History and English

Duration: 60 mins

In this session, pupils explore the similarities and differences between their lives and the lives of Victorians by exploring artefacts from The Amelia’s collection.  Pupils are encouraged to speculate and to explore their own ideas about what the 19th Century artefacts could be.

During the session, links are made to Queen Victoria’s relationship with our local area.

 

Cost: 60 min session: £75 for 30 children

In this session, pupils explore Victorian artefacts from The Amelia’s collection and consider what they can tell us about life 150 years ago.  Artefacts serve as springboards for exploring wider topics, including differences in technology, education and the lives of children.

During the session, links are made to Queen Victoria’s relationship with our local area.
